Harry E. Caison, 73 of Bristol, passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2008 in Blountstown. Mr. Caison was born in Ludowici, Georgia and had lived in Liberty County most of his life. He was a retired logger and enjoyed fishing, hunting quail and sports. He attended the Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol.
Survivors include a son, Stacey Caison and his wife Kristy of Bristol; two daughters, Melanie Duggar and her husband Tommy of Bristol, and Malena Severance and Kevin McAllister of Havana; two brothers, Lester Caison of North Carolina and Greg Caison of Palatka, Florida; two sisters, Kathleen Bailey of Scotts Ferry and Shirley Owens of Tallahassee; six grandchildren, Titus and Vince Severance, Luke Caison, Harley and Yolanda White and Cory McAllister.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM EST Thursday evening at the Adams Funeral Home in Bristol. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

Fannie Mae Sapp, 93, of Blountstown, Florida passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Mrs. Sapp was born in Sink Creek and had lived most of her life in Blountstown. She loved gardening, fishing, and her church. She was a member of Blountstown Revival Tabernacle Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Jean and Wallace Sapp, four grandchildren,
and three great- grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Sapp and his wife Gwen of Blountstown; eight daughters, Luquita Whitfield and her husband Eddie Wayne of Ashford, Alabama, Shirley Blackmon of Blountstown, Martha Burch and her husband Jack of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lynell Tucker of Blountstown, Glennell Tucker of Blountstown, Elizabeth Brake and her husband Donald of Port St. Joe, Florida, Agnes Cole and her husband James of Altha, Linda Linton and her husband Benny Frank of Dalkeith; 27 grandchildren; 55 great- great grandchildren; and 22 great -great -great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August15, 2008 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Thomas Adams officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14 at the Adams Funeral Home.

Earnest Ferrell Cloud, 58 of Blountstown, passed away Sunday morning, August 10, 2008. Ferrell was born in Blountstown July 23, 1950 to the late Earnest Ellis Cloud and Velma Lee Cloud. He was a lifelong resident of Blountstown where he worked for the Department of Corrections as a Vocational Instructor. He was a master craftsman in woodworking, loved landscaping his home and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church near Altha.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Cloud of Blountstown; two sons, Jeff Cloud of Marianna, FL and Jimmy Cloud and his wife Timra of Cottondale, FL; three brothers, R.L. Cloud and his wife Patty of Melbourne, FL, Nicky Cloud and his wife Sandra of Gibson, GA, and Gerald Cloud and his wife Debi of Bartow, FL; a sister, Peggy Page and her husband Chuck of Inglis, FL; two grandchildren Jade and Cody Cloud; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was a friend to all.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Reverend David Wood and Carlton VanLierop officiating. Interment will follow in the Nettle Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday evening at the Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown.

Melton G. Revell, 84, of Bristol, Florida passed away Saturday, August 8, 2008 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mr. Revell was born May 25, 1924 in Bristol to the late Ezra and Nina Revell and attended Liberty County High School before attending the University of Florida where he graduated with a Bachelors in Vocational Agriculture and a Masters in Administration and Supervision. He was an avid Gator fan; he was a Bull Gator and never missed a home game for over 50 years. He served Nassau County as a teacher, principal, and superintendent until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ada Rankin Revell of Bristol, Florida, a son, James F. Revell of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a sister Mable Summers of Bristol, Florida; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 13, from the Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol with Reverend Jeff Gardner officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Sierra Vista Alzheimers Community, Sierra Vista Caretakers Fund, 402 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87505.

Mr. James Willard Mayo, 76, of Altha passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Marianna. He was born in the Hasty Pond community and has lived most of his life in Altha. He was a retired dredge boat operator and was a member of the Rivertown Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Mayo of Altha; three sons, Ricky Mayo and his wife Cheryl of Altha, James Mayo of Altha, and Michael Mayo and his wife Debbie of Clarksville; one daughter, Kim Bailey and her husband Steve of Blountstown; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, at Rivertown Community Church with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 1 at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wanda Lucille Burkett, 81, of Blountstown passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in Panama City, Florida. She was a member of Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church where she worked in the women’s ministry. She also loved to dance and go fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burkett and a son, Daniel Edward Pridgeon.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Barton and her husband Robert of Blountstown; a step-son, Wayne Burkett of Rayle, Georgia; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2008, from the Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery near Altha. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Muriel Lorraine Blanchard Strickland, 79, of Blountstown, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Strickland was born in New Canaan, Connecticut and had lived in Blountstown since 1978. She was a member of the Macedonia First Baptist Church where she worked in the children’s ministry, sang in the choir, and served as President of the Women’s Missionary Union. Mrs. Strickland was retired from the Calhoun County Public Library where she was the children’s story time lady. She enjoyed working with children, painting, puppets, gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Blanchard, her husband, Cecil T. Strickland and a daughter, Lorraine Strickland.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Eric V. Strickland and his wife, Kristi of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas and Leslie P. Strickland and his wife Paula of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three daughters, Donna Sullivan and her husband Dan of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Carol Jean Saldana of Altha, Florida, and Romell Denning and her husband John of Houston, Texas; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Macedonia First Baptist Church with Reverend David Wood officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 ET in Patmos Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Patmos, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, at Adams Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable, but contributions may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Children’s Program, 20300 NE Macedonia Rd, Blountstown, FL 32424 or the American Cancer Society, 241 John Knox Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32303.

Ella Geneva Starr, 76, of Marianna, Florida passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008. She was born in Labelle, Florida and moved to Marianna in 1994 from South Florida. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Starr; two brothers, Lewis McClenithan, and Ernest McClenithan.
She is survived by her husband, Starling Starr of Marianna; two sons, Danny Starr and his wife Bernita of Altha and Gene Starr of Greenwood; two daughters, Linda Pool and her husband Jerry of Cottondale and Cathy Whidden and her husband Perry of Grand Ridge; two brothers, Buddy McClenithan of Florida and Zoria McClenithan and his wife Kathy of Lake City; three sisters, Margaret Sylvester of Venice, Katherine Carnley of Fountain, and Glenda Welch of Lakeland; nine grandchildren, Mike and Tammy Pool, Tony, Eddie, Brian, Stephen, Genny, Dawn and Garrett Starr; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ernie and Denise Bryant of Avon Park
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in the New Shiloh Cemetery in Altha with Chaplain Robert Castillo officiating.

Mr. John Charles O’Bryan, 71, of Hosford, passed away Friday, July 11, at his home. Mr. O’Bryan was born in Altha and had lived in Hosford since 1992. He had served in the U.S. National Guard and was retired from the State of Florida Game and Fish Commission. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Jean O’Bryan of Hosford; two sons, John Andrew O’Bryan and his wife Debbie of Ft. Lauderdale and Thomas Rast and his wife Lisa of Telogia; three grandchildren, Kyle and Devon O’Bryan and Fletcher Quinn and his wife Janet and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM EST Sunday, July 13, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Bristol with Reverend Glenn Skinner officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
