Curtis Lee Alday

Curtis Lee Alday, 87, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Tallahassee. He was born on August 30, 1939, in Altha, Florida.

Curtis will be remembered for the steady pleasures that shaped his days and reflected the kind of life he enjoyed most. He loved gardening and found happiness being on his tractor, pursuits that spoke to his appreciation for hard work, the outdoors, and the simple satisfaction of tending to the things he cared about. He also loved watching westerns, a pastime that brought him enjoyment and familiarity over the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Woodrow Alday; his mother, Elizabeth Inell Alday; and his sister, Darice Busby.

Curtis is survived by his children, Jesse Alday and his wife, Patricia; Lamar Turner and his wife, Jennifer; Becky Weeks; and Mary-Ellen Hodges; as well has 10 grand children and 11 great grandchildren. In their lives and memories, his presence will continue to be felt with love and gratitude.
