Dozier Conyers, 76, of Bristol passed away on January 15, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1949, to the late Claude and Bennie V. Horton Conyers. Dozier proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, a testament to his strength, dedication, and love for his country.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delcie Conyers, his lifelong sweetheart, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was built on deep love, companionship, and devotion. Their time spent together was Dozier's greatest joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Marvin Conyers, and his beloved grandchild, Destine Conyers. Dozier is also survived by his brothers, Donnie Conyers, Jeremy Conyers, and Marty Conyers.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his children: Brandon Conyers, Sherena Conyers, Tinnea (Bob) Stokes, Jerri Weeks and her fiancé Eddie Baggett, Heather (David) Lynn, Dewayne (Donna Jean) Goff.
He was a proud Grandfather to Floyd Burke, Carly Burke, Treyton Baggett, Levi Goff, Stetson Goff, Emory "Blake" Goff, April Hill, Selena Baxley, Dakota Lynn, Cyerra Burns, Christopher Honrine, Christian Honrine, Jesse Honrine, Crayton Capps, Cody Capps, and Landon Sexton, and a cherished great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind 2 nephews, Reggie and Grant Conyers. Dozier also had a good and loving church family, whose fellowship, prayers, and support meant so much to him and his loved ones.
Dozier loved the outdoors and especially cherished hunting with his brother and lifelong friend Donnie. He also enjoyed watching his favorite Sci-fi movies and spending quiet, meaningful time with his wife. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and took pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Dozier will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the faith and friendships that surrounded him throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A ceremony honoring Dozier's life will be held on January 24, 2026, at 11:00AM at Hardaway Assembly of God in Chattahoochee.
