Gordon L. Lewis, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away on July 27, 2025, in Marianna, Florida, at the age of 74. Born on April 8, 1951, in Wewahitchka, Florida, he lived in Altha and dedicated his life to his family and his work for many years as a heavy equipment operator in the logging business.
Gordon was known for his love of the outdoors and often indulged in what he fondly described as “his treasure.” He took great joy in piddling around his property, riding his lawn mower, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kerri Lewis, along with his sons, Willie and William Lewis, and his daughters, Sheila Webb, Amanda Lewis, and Morgan Lewis. Gordon shared a bond with his sisters, June Pitts and Betty Malone and her husband James; a son in law Ron Taylor. He was also a proud grandfather to two special grandchildren, Kelston Taylor and Miguel Arguelles, and held a special place in his heart for his nephews, Tracey Jack and Justin Lewis. Gordon enjoyed a close friendship with Kelen Paramore and will be remembered by a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sebron and Litmay Lewis, as well as his brothers, Robert, Carl, Richard, and Charles Lewis as well as a son in law, Wilford "Wimpy" Webb.
