John Ellis Davis

John Ellis Davis, born on September 16, 1954, in Marianna, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. He was 71 years old.

John’s life began in the heart of Marianna, surrounded by the values of integrity, kindness, and a deep sense of family instilled by his parents, the late George Henry Davis, Jr. and Bernice Basford Davis. Throughout his life, John exemplified these values in every way, leaving a legacy founded on quiet strength and genuine love for others.

John is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by his devoted family. He is survived by his beloved sister, Dee Massey, and her husband, Cris Massey, who have stood by his side throughout life’s joys and challenges. He also leaves behind his niece, Cristina Massey, and nephew, Travis Massey, and his wife, Nikki, all of whom cherished his wisdom and warmth. In addition, John's two great-nephews, Maverick and Atlas Massey, fondly recall times spent together, each carrying forward John’s gentle spirit in their own lives.

Although John now joins his parents, George Henry Davis, Jr. and Bernice Basford Davis, in eternal rest, the lessons they together espoused resonate in the lives of those who survive him. His memory will live on not only through family but also through the imprint he left on all who knew him.

A memorial service honoring John’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on July 18, 2026, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown with Reverend John Hagan officiating. Family, friends, and all whose lives he touched are invited to join to pay their respects and celebrate the enduring life of John Davis.
