John Godwin

John Windon Godwin, age 71, of Quincy, Florida passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Marianna, Florida. John was born in Blountstown, Florida and was a graduate of Blountstown High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and later he worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker. Preceding him in death were his father, John Henry Godwin; his step-son, Keith Mercer; two sisters, Annette Bedgood and Earline Gurley. Survivors include his wife Alice Godwin of Quincy; a son, Brian Godwin and his wife, Brandie of Quincy; his mother and step-father, Christine and Harold Shepard of Bristol, Florida; grandchildren, Autumn, Shane, and Peyton Yon and Bylee and Noah Godwin. Memorialization will be by cremation.
