Judith Angela "Angie" Deason, known fondly to her family and friends as Angie, passed away on August 16, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 57. Born on August 31, 1968, Angie lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and a genuine compassion for those around her.
Angie is survived by her beloved daughter, Ella Deason, who was the light of her life and a constant source of pride and joy. Angie’s deep devotion to her family extended to her brother, Rob Deason, and her sister-in-law, Necy, as well as to her aunt, Gay Brantley Richards; her uncles, Andy Bailey, Randy Brantley, and Earnest Deason and his wife Joyce; and her special cousins, Sue Shuler Seymour and Peggy Deason Howland. Angie’s legacy continues through her nephew, Alex Deason; his wife, Eva; loving niece, Emma Deason; and her great-nephews, Kingsley and Kordell Winston. Angie will be deeply missed by many extended family members, each of whom held a special place in her heart, and she supported them unconditionally throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Winston Deason, and her mother, Sandra Brantley Deason. Their memories remained close to Angie's heart and influenced her gentle, nurturing spirit.
Angie will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her warm smile, and the way she made everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel like they had known her forever. She was kind, gentle, and a friend to so many.
She loved her family deeply, and her greatest joy was her daughter, Ella. Angie also held a special place in the lives of her extended family, especially the children who grew up knowing and loving her as “Aunt Angie.”
Those who knew her will remember her laughter, her kindness, her willingness to go along for the ride, and the smile she shared so freely. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and people who will miss her more than words can say.
Angie’s passions reflected her caring and joyful nature. She was an avid reader, finding comfort and inspiration within the pages of her favorite books. She delighted in spending time with children and extended her kindness to all by owning her own daycare. Her compassion for the youngest among us reflected her nurturing soul. Angie also loved animals, especially puppies, and they always seemed to sense her gentle spirit.
The beach was one of Angie's favorite places, a sanctuary where she found peace and contentment. Whether watching the waves or feeling the sand beneath her feet, she relished these moments of tranquility and beauty.
Angie’s presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her laughter, her compassion, and her unwavering support created a legacy of love and kindness that will remain with her family and friends always.
