Karen Elizabeth Blackburn, 82 of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Karen was born May 17, 1940, in Plant City, Florida to the late Albert and Trudy Fant and had lived in Calhoun County all of her life. She worked in elder care with the Calhoun County Senior Citizens for 15 years until her retirement and was a member of the Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church in Clarksville.

Other than her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her son Johnny Blackburn; her brothers, Eugene, Carl and Edward Fant; her sisters, Carolyn Anemos, Julia O’Bryan, Lillian Bramblett and Beneva Fant.

Survivors include her husband Thomas Lloyd Blackburn of Clarksville who would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving day this year, her son, Mike Blackburn and his wife Sheila of Blountstown; her daughters, Lisa Davis and her husband Tony of Clarksville and Shelly Seddon and her husband Joseph of Whittier, North Carolina; her brother, William Fant of Altha; her sisters, Dolly Mercer of Sneads, Thelma Fant of Marianna and Jennie Stricker of Altha; her grandchildren, Erin Blackburn, Leslie Miller, Albert Blackburn, Greg Blackburn, Lauren Johnson, Michael Blackburn, Marissa Barfield, Maegan Russell, Morgan Clark and Tommy Hall as well as twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a daughter in law Amy Blackburn. One of the greatest joys of her life was visiting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services to honor and celebrate Karen’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home with a time of visitation one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown.
