Kimberly Buchanan Skipper

Kimberly Buchanan Skipper, 58, of Clarksville, Virginia, passed away on April 20th, 2026. She was born on February 1, 1968, to Annie Bell and Clyde Buchanan on Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. She grew up in Altha, Florida, graduating from Altha High School in 1986 and Chipola Junior College in 1988.

She worked in Corrections. She went on to work in the mental health and home health field. She was preceded in death by her parents Annie Bell and Clyde Buchanan, her grandparents, Dora and Roscoe Musgrove, Maude and Oscar Allen Buchanan, Sr., and her granddaughter, Talia Skipper. She is survived by her sisters Margaret Pinson, Debra (Ron) Downing, Peggy Miller, and Tammie (Broward) Pitts. Her children, Josefina Skipper, Grayson Skipper, Isabella Skipper, and Angelina Skipper. Her grandson, Westen Skipper. As well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great great niece, and her many fur babies. Everyone who knew Kim knew she loved her cats.

A celebration of Kim will be held on June 6th, 2026, from 2 pm- 4 pm at the First United Methodist Fellowship Hall, in Altha, Florida. Come drop by and share your laughs, tears, stories, and memories of Kim.
