Linda Faye Hutto, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Blountstown, Florida. Born on June 21, 1945, in Decatur, Alabama, Linda's journey through life was marked by her deep love for family, unwavering faith, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Linda held her family close to her heart. She is survived by her loving sister, Peggy Dennis; brothers Thomas Lambert and his wife Gennie, Ricky Lambert and his wife Jan, Larry Lambert, and TJ Lambert and his wife Carol. Linda was the proud mother of three children, John Peterson, Heather Wilson and her husband Eric, and Kimberly Peterson Torres. She took immense joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother, creating a legacy through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished.
Linda's faith was a guiding force in her life. She found great comfort and joy in attending church services and nurturing her relationship with Jesus Christ. Her spiritual journey shaped the values she instilled in her family, emphasizing love, kindness, and compassion for others.
An enthusiastic shopper, Linda had a unique ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was spending time with her family or exploring local shops. Her laughter and warmth made every gathering memorable, leaving lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to know her.
Linda's passing is a profound loss to her family and friends, and she will be lovingly remembered as a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lambert and Virgie Bland; sister Dorothy Johnson; brother Paul Lambert; and grandson Hunter Oliver. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, faith, and a reminder of the blessings of family, which will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
