Eastpoint, FL

Lois Carolyn Tew Creamer, 89, of Eastpoint, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation Center. A loving and remarkably kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of warmth, devotion, and gentle grace.

Born on April 15, 1937, in Barbour County, Alabama, Carolyn was the daughter of the late James Floyd and Perla Tyler Tew. She grew up in Louisville, Alabama. Carolyn graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Home Economics. Following her graduation from Auburn, she began her professional career with the Home Extension Service for the State of Alabama. Her dedication to community education led her to work alongside her alma mater, Auburn University, and she later expanded her impact in Florida, serving as a trusted extension agent for both Franklin and Leon County.

Carolyn married Jimmy Creamer on October 15,1966. While she found great fulfillment in her career, her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She poured her whole heart into creating a warm, welcoming home and ensuring her children always felt unconditionally supported. Whether she was cheering at sporting events, volunteering at school, or celebrating everyday milestones, she was a constant, loving presence in their lives—the quiet anchor who was fiercely proud of her family.

Carolyn and Jimmy raised their family in Tallahassee, residing there for 34 years before retiring to Eastpoint, Florida, in 2005. Together, they became active and faithful members of the First United Methodist Church. Carolyn found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with family and friends, cooking delicious meals, capturing memories through photography, tending to her garden, and, above all, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Jimmy Creamer. Her loving spirit lives on through her children, Jon Creamer and his wife Stacey, and Kristi Creamer and her wife Mary. She was also the adored Nana to four grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Jacob Creamer (and his wife Anna Jo), Savannah Creamer, Wyatt Creamer, and Colin Creamer. She was preceded in death by her parents James Floyd and Perla Tyler Tew; and her brother, Kenneth Allen Tew.

A service celebrating Carolyn’s life, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM EDT at the First United Methodist Church in Apalachicola, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church 75 5th Street Apalachicola, FL 32320.
