Lucille Godwin

Lucille Godwin of Altha passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the age of 81. She was a homemaker and was co-founder and past chairman of the board of Chipola Community Church near Altha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Jim Godwin; infant daughter, Margaret Godwin; a grandson, Tony Maloy; her parents, Franklin and Fannie (Maloy) Bruce; and a sister, Marie Gay. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Godwin of Altha and Johnie Godwin of Altha; four daughters, Joyce Maloy of Altha, Milinda Pierce of Altha, Dianne Danford of Blountstown and Wanda Roberts of Blountstown; twenty-six grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August11, 2011 at Chipola Community Church with Reverend Billy Wallace officiating. Interment followed in Victory Hill Cemetery near Altha. The family received friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10 at Chipola Community Church. Adams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Phone 674-5449
