Maria Teresa Puente, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Tallahassee, FL, surrounded by her children and family after courageously battling cancer. Born on May 5, 1980, Teresa made her way to leave a profound mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
For 17 years, Teresa passionately dedicated her service as a waitress at Paramore Too restaurant, where she became well-known and cherished by countless patrons. Teresa had never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms, embodying a spirit of warmth and light. Teresa's infectious personality lit up any room, making her a favorite among guests and coworkers alike.
Family was the center of Teresa's world. She loved spending time with her children: Monica Failes, and husband Richard Failes; Alejandro Sanchez, and partner Camryn Durden; Daisy Puente; Ricky Ammons and partner Billie Thurman; Aidan Ammons; and Augusto Estrada-Puente. She was a proud grandmother to Myles Whited, Skylynn Ammons, Serena Sanchez, and Riley Herrera, for whom she always provided unwavering support and encouragement in all Liberty County and Blountstown sporting activities.
Teresa is survived by her loving parents, Maria Elba Regalado and Bernardo Regalado, and her siblings, Irma Castillo, Mario Puente, Elizabeth Puente-Amaro, Bernardo Regalado Jr., Elba Sarmiento, Jackeline Regalado, and Hugo Regalado. Additionally, her legacy will continue through her numerous relatives, including seven nephews and ten nieces, as well as three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law who will forever cherish her memory.
Teresa joins in eternal rest her beloved grandmother, Ernestina Garza De La Garza; her grandfather, Alberto Duque Salas; and her aunt, Raquel Duque, who will undoubtedly welcome her with love.
A memorial service to honor Teresa will be held on December 2, 2025, at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford, starting at 2:00 PM eastern time. All whose lives have been touched by Teresa are invited to come together in remembrance, sharing stories and celebrating a life filled with love and joy.
Teresa's vibrant spirit and the profound impact she had on her family and friends will be deeply missed, yet always remembered with affection.
