Obie Adams

Obie Clayton Adams, 92 of DeFuniak Springs, passed away Monday, May 12, 2019. Obie was born September 27, 1926 in Opp, Alabama to the late John C Adams and Zonie (Hall) Adams. He was retired from the hardware business and was a member of the East Baptist Church. Obie as also a World War II veteran serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife Suzie Ann Reeves; his second wife Kate Adams, his third wife Mazie Summerlin; daughters, Sarah Jo King and Patricia Wiseman; his brothers, Bill, Tom, Ralph, John Edward Adams; his sisters, Ruby Taylor, Nell, and Jewel Ray. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Adams of Ocala; three grandchildren, Dana Wolfe, Peter Close Jr. and Chris King; four great grandchildren and his son in law Kenneth King. Funeral services honoring Obie's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Magnolia Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs. Adams funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
