Robert Clifton "Brutus" Lambeth

Robert Clifton “Brutus” Lambeth passed away peacefully at his home on August 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 8, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Brutus served in the United States Marines and went on to work as a trucker for over 38 years. He was known for the steady dedication he gave to his work and for the simple joys that meant so much to him throughout his life. He loved gathering family and friends together to grill, enjoy one another’s company, and share in family reunions. He also enjoyed gardening, interests that reflected his warmth, hospitality, and love of home.

Above all, Brutus treasured his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Addie Lambeth, and by their children, Robert Aaron Lambeth (Joni), Suzanne Hagan (Jonn), Joe Lambeth, and Heather Terry. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Bryce, Taylor, Hailey, Caleb, Gavin, Darcy, Parker, Nash, and Jericho, and through his great-grandchildren, Xarah, Blakely, Everett, Elias, and Abigail. He is also survived by his siblings Ray “Buddy” Lambeth (April), Joyce Sunday, Bobbie Jean Bryd, Ralph Watts, Rosa Watts, Ben Garcia, and John Garcia and Teresa Hinjosa. He will be remembered with love by all who shared in his life and the many family moments he helped create.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Cecil Lambeth; his mother, Eva Dale Watts Lambeth and his sisters, Jan Goodwin and Kathy Kirtland.

A time of visitation will be held on September 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Polar Branch Cemetery near Bristol with full military honors.

Brutus leaves behind a life centered on service, hard work, and the love of family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew him.
