Thomas Benjamin Jeter, born on March 30, 1979, in Donaldsonville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle whose life enriched the hearts of many who knew him.
Though born in Donaldsonville, Thomas was raised in Marianna, Florida, where he grew up surrounded by family and formed many of the lifelong friendships and values he carried with him throughout his life. Thomas’s journey began with an appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. Known for his love of music and his skillful carpentry, he cultivated these passions throughout his life, finding joy and purpose in creating and sharing songs and handcrafted works.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Jeter; his mother, Pricilla Jeter; and his brothers, Freddie and Roy Whitehead. Their memories live on in the stories and traditions that Thomas cherished deeply.
Thomas is survived by his brothers, Johnny Jeter and Robert Jeter, and his sisters Michelle Lawson and her husband Melvin, Rose Kiel and her husband Wallie, and Melanie Malfe and her husband John. His extended family includes many nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched with kindness and warmth.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on May 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida. Family, friends, and all who knew Thomas are invited to gather, remember, and pay tribute to a man who meant so much to so many.
Thomas’s legacy is one of creativity, devotion, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched through his music, craftsmanship, and generous spirit.
