Timothy Johnson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in Tallahassee. He was born on September 23, 1968, in Aurora, Illinois, and from his earliest days he filled the lives of those around him with warmth, laughter, and remarkable skill.
Throughout his life, Timothy embraced adventure, curiosity, and camaraderie. He delighted in going to races, finding equal joy as a spectator and enthusiast, and relished the challenges and satisfactions of working on antique cars. His keen mind and steady hands made him a natural mechanic, and he was always ready to lend those gifts to family, friends, and neighbors alike. Whether it was in a garage tinkering with an engine or at a gathering, Timothy made every space brighter with his presence.
Music was another passion woven throughout Timothy’s journey. He enjoyed singing karaoke, sharing not only his voice but his spirit with those around him. These moments of song became cherished memories for many who were fortunate enough to hear him or sing along.
Timothy’s love for his family was steadfast and profound. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita Watson, and his sons, Ryker and Kevin. His daughter-in-law Tara and his beloved mother Mary Kirby also mourn his loss, as do his cherished niece, Shauna, and his grandchildren, Riley, Elliae, Kaiden, Karma, Katerina, Colton, Ruby Kate, Will, and Melissa. His legacy lives vibrantly within each of them, carrying forward the lessons, love, and laughter he so generously gave.
He is preceded in death by his father Jimmie, his brothers Ricky and Danny, and his sister Linda. Their memories, and Timothy’s, will forever be held close by those who survive him.
A funeral service honoring Timothy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 14, 2026, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. Family, friends, and all who knew Timothy are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life lived with kindness, joy, and integrity.
Timothy Johnson leaves behind a legacy of love and care—a reflection of a life well-lived and a spirit deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
