Wayne Stoke

Roy Wayne Stokes, 69, passed away on August 5, 2021. Wayne was born on September 17, 1951, in Thomasville, Georgia to Roy Henry Stokes and Margaret Corine (Barnes). He divided his childhood between Georgia, Florida, and Texas, where he grew up under the influence of a large extended family. He is predeceased by his infant daughter (Melonie Lynn Stokes), niece, siblings, parents, grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include his daughter (Brandi K Stokes), granddaughter (Elisabeth Renee), nephews, and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. A private memorial and burial at sea were held on December 4, 2021, by his descendants – who spread his ashes in the Gulf of Mexico.
