William Kyle, Jr., known affectionately as Buddy, passed away on May 12, 2025, in Blountstown, Florida. Born on January 19, 1936, in Telogia, Florida, he lived a life characterized by hard work, commitment, and a deep-rooted connection to his faith and family.
Buddy dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving the community. He spent 20 years with the city of Blountstown in the maintenance department, where his diligence and commitment did not go unnoticed and also worked for 10 years at Ramsey Piggly Wiggly, establishing himself as a reliable and hardworking individual.
An individual who cherished the simpler pleasures of life, Buddy enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be held dear by those who knew him. His warmth and dedication made him a beloved figure, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving stepdaughters Janis Weiler and her husband Jack, Sue Bailey and her husband Clyde, and Deanna Waldron, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will remember him fondly.
He was predeceased by his parents, William Kyle, Sr. and Maybell Kyle-Pullam; his wife, Thelma Kyle; stepsons Clyde and Jerry Waldron; stepdaughter Melinda Waldron; brother Odis Pullam; and sisters Mae Jones and Vinnie Richards.
A graveside service celebrating Buddy’s life will be held on May 16, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery in Clarksville, beginning at 2:00 PM. His community, family, and friends will come together to honor a man whose integrity and spirit will surely be missed.
